Crimson Rose Classical Guitar

This beautifully handcrafted guitar has been commissioned specifically for the purpose of raising money towards the music program at Our Lady of Mercy School. Made from some of the finest and rarest quarter sawn wood in the world, this guitar was designed to delight even the highest range of the performer's expectations.
           J. Anthony Guitars are made one at a time using old world techniques, long forgotten in the world of large
scale production. J. Anthony practices his trade much in the same way as the late 19th century Spanish
Luthier, Antonio de Torres. The guitar’s size and fan pattern are similar to the more contemporary
Hauser design of 1937. Its’ body tapers from a wider lower bout to a narrower upper bout which
gives this classical guitar a more modern look. Some features of the guitar: ebony binding with
back herringbone inlay, Schaller tuners with Ebony buttons, imported Bloodwood from
South America and a Sitka Spruce top with Paua Shell Abalone inlay.

Tickets are $10 each, and only 1,000 tickets will be sold. Buyers of 10 tickets or more will be invited for an evening of wine and cheese featuring classical guitar music at the home of Jim and Sabra Abbate. The date of the event is scheduled for Thursday May 13th, 2010 @ 7:30 pm. The raffle will also take place on this day.
